2022.6.3 UPDATE: Probing Operations

Friends,

I apologize for not posting an UPDATE last week.  No excuses: I was just lazy.  But, I have a few things to share this week so, hit the ‘READ MORE’ button and I’ll give you the details.

THE WEEK IN REVIEW

I finally managed to beat back the enemy offensive, rally my troops and get things put back in order to continue our advance.  I’m just not so sure of the enemy disposition at the moment, so I have decided to send out several probes to scout around and see what the situation is.

The translation of that is: I have finally caught my breath, cleaned up the shop and office enough that I can work again and am now ready to get back to making new products again.

OUTSTANDING ORDERS

As I write this, Friday, June 3, there are no open orders or customer service issues in the shop.

NEW RELEASES

Nothing new today, but I have decided to start dribbling things out while I work on the next big M-18 item.  Watch for the first of a series of smaller detail goodies to hit next Friday, June 10.

ON THE BENCH

I have started work on the M-18 driver’s compartment.  I am also working on the rest of the fighting compartment at the same time.  The turret interior will follow, as will the tools and straps, mantle cover and exhaust.  At the moment, my goal is to wrap all of this by the end of July — no later.

ON KARL’S BENCH

I spoke to Karl today.  He is still puttering around with the CCKW items and Sherman upper hulls.  Give him time, he’s slow but his work is worth waiting on.  🙂

THE SHOP

The shop is in decent shape.  I still have to put away some molds are stow a bunch of production blanks, but I can work again.

THE OFFICE

The same thing applies to the office as with the shop.

ME AND MY WORLD

I’m doing good.  Got the rest and re-charge I needed and am thinking about launching our next offensive.  BB is doing great, as well.  She is out for the summer and really enjoying her time off with the puppy.  And, speaking of the shop rats: Annie is starting to think she can take over the entire property.  Now, if only she can convince Chief and Sadie that she is supposed to be in charge, she’ll be all set.

THAT IS ALL

Well, that’s all I have for everyone this week.  Until next time, you stay safe and try to build something (preferably something using TMD resin).
