Friends,
I lost track of time last week and, this week, I sort of had to take a working ‘time out.’ Still, things are good and I have some news to share, so, hit the ‘READ MORE’ button and I’ll tell you all about it.
THE WEEK IN REVIEW
I guess this will have to cover the last two weeks. Last week is easy: that new dealer order, combined with all your orders, was just too much for me to handle and still get anything else done. Because I try to finish the work I have before I go looking/asking for more, that’s what I did: I finished all the orders I had before I pushed out new products which would have generated even more work. It might not be how the modern ‘Capitalist’ works, but then, I still suffer from a bit too much of the Protestant Work Ethic. 🙂
As for this week: I just needed a bit of a break. The last few weeks have been hard on this aging body, so I took things easy. I filled orders and cleaned the shop and worked in the yard with the shop rats (our three miniature schnauzers). If all goes well, I’ll be back on my bench Monday.
OUTSTANDING ORDERS
As I write this, Friday, May 20, shortly before 12:00 CST, there are no open orders or customer service issues on my radar. If you still have an order or customer service issue, please email me as you have gone ‘stealth’ on me.
NEW RELEASES
Nothing new today, but I did put out the small hull hatch composite upper hull for the Tasca/Asuka M4 Sherman line. If that interests you, it is in the featured items listings. Go have a look.
ON THE BENCH
I am still working on the M-18, and I will stay on the M-18 until I finish everything I want to make for it.
ON KARL’S BENCH
I spoke to Karl yesterday. Age has take a toll on his body, making it hard for him to sit at his bench for long periods of time. Still, he is hammering away on the M4 upper hulls and CCKW cabs. Hang in there, they are nearing completion.
THE SHOP
The shop still needs work, but things are in much better condition than they have been in a while.
THE OFFICE
The same thing applies to the office as with the shop.
ME AND MY WORLD
I’m doing good, I’m just in need of a little re-charge after the push of the past six weeks. BB is in a good mood, too. School ends next week and she starts her summer vacation. She has offered to help out in the shop a bit this summer. This will be a first. I’m actually looking forward to it. It will be fun to see how the shop rats react to Mom being in Dad’s space, but I’m sure it will all work out well.
THAT IS ALL
Well, that’s all I have for everyone this week. Until next time, you stay safe and try to build something (preferably something using TMD resin).

Keep on keeping on Marine
Roger that, sir.
Keep fighting the good fight, Joe! Can’t wait for Karl’s CCKW reveal!
Me either 🙂
