I had a great week! In fact, I think I may finally be starting to get ‘over the hump.’ Keep reading and I’ll tell you all about it.
THIS WEEK
This was a very good week. I managed to get a lot done, and my mood has greatly improved. SO, to all of you who didn’t believe me last week when I told you I was OK, just tired of my own stupidity, know this: I mean it when I say I am doing good. No need to read between any lines 🙂 (<– see? smiley face and everything LOL).
INITIAL LIMA M4A1 (‘MICHAEL’) CONVERSION PRE-SALE
I had to stop everything with this and start making lower hulls for the conversion. This will fix the problem of a correct welded hull (in case your donor kit doesn’t have one). However, I got that done and I have poured 7 kits — so far. I hope to have 9-10 of them finished by Monday. I will start shipping on Monday, and the goal is to ship all pre-orders by the end of next week.
ON THE BENCH
I made 4 new masters this week, and I am working on three more. All are very early M4A1 Sherman-related items, most of which have not yet been made available by anyone. So, while they may not be in high demand, those who love the desert Shermans will no doubt welcome these additions to the TMD line.
In addition to the new masters, I have been re-working some older products, most of which will work in conjunction with the new masters. Again, I hope these will be welcomed. I hope to release them on July 5th.
Yes, I am still looking at Trumpeter’s new FLAK 88 Famo. Not a horrible kit, but not the way we interpreted the available pictures. I am thinking about making a detail set to cover the alternate possibilities and missing items.
And, yes, I am still struggling with the M-18 driver’s compartment. I know a lot of you out there want this, but it is fighting me.
CUSTOMER SERVICE ISSUES
I have no known customer service issues at this time.
MY WORLD
I’m feeling very good at the moment. I even stopped drinking soda (diet coke, but still). Heck, I’m even back to that desert Sherman I threatened to build. So, no need to worry, all is well here. Well, except for the fact that we saw the jaguar in our back yard again yesterday. Otherwise, we’re good. 🙂
MY BUILD BLOG
I’m back at this, only I am building an Asuka kit instead of trying to rescue the Dragon El Alamein kit. I should actually have something to show by this time next week. Stay tuned.
