1.26.2024 UPDATE: Stoking the Factory Fires

Friends,

I’ve had a rough start to 2024, but I am starting to get some things moving — finally.  Now, it’s time to stoke the factory fires and start getting new products ready to roll out so we can continue the offensive.

INTERNET ISSUES REPLACED BY WEATHER DELAYS

The internet is back up and holding (for now).  The weather is cooperating (for now).  And I continue to clean up the shop.  So, I’m back in full production.

NEW PRODUCTS

I will be releasing Karl’s correction for the GECKO Ram kits next week.  This will fix the dimension/shape issues with the final drive armor (FDA) as well as reposition the electrical box on the side of the hull.

ON THE BENCH

I have started a personal build (watch for a build blog post soon).  It will (hopefully) motivate me to start re-working and filling out missing pieces in the M4 Sherman line.  My focus — for now — is on early war Sherman IIs and IIIs, as well as the early M4/M4A1 tanks.  Think Africa, Tunis and Sicily.

OPEN ORDERS

I have 5 open orders.  1 needs a new mold, the rest just need casting.  I am going to push like crazy to ship by Wednesday, January 31.

CUSTOMER SERVICE ISSUES

I have a replacement parts order to ship to Italy and a missing/lost order to replace, and — once again — I am pushing HARD to ship by Wednesday.  I had hoped to ship these this week, but it didn’t happen.

UP-COMING CAMPAIGN(s)

I am working on this.  I will be posting a JOE’S CORNER to explain my plans for 2024 tomorrow, Sunday, Jan 21, 2024.  Watch for it.

THAT IS ALL

OK, that is all I have for now. Until next week, stay safe and try to build something (preferably something using TMD resin).

Joe, out

  1. Yes! I mainly build early German armor (’39-’41), but when I do Allied, I also like their early war stuff. So, you focussing on Shermans II’s and III’s is is a very interesting learning experience for me.
