This is the third good week in a row. I encountered a few ‘wait-a-minute’ vines, but I still managed to accomplish most everything I set out to do. Hit the ‘read more’ button and I’ll share the details.
This was another busy week. I managed to cram 4 1/2 days of work into 3. Our youngest son came in for his bi-annual visit, so things were not as productive as they might otherwise have been. But still, I managed to finish five new masters while handling most all of my orders. I count that as a success.
AN AREA OF RISING CONCERN
I am still watching the price increases in my raw materials and shipping — especially the cost of shipping. This may force a change to our rates soon, sorry. I am also losing the ability to ship to some countries. This is not due to shipping rates; the USPS simply stopped shipping to them.
I have three open orders. One is waiting on a re-worked master/mold, and that customer knows about the problem. The other two orders came in within the last 24 hours and I simply will not have time to ship them this week.
As far as I know, I am on top of all customer service issues so, if you have a problem I have not addressed, please let me know because you’ve gone ‘stealth mode’ and are flying under my radar.
A SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT
I have posted a special announcement to the top of the blog page. It is about my plans to take the month of December off to make masters. Please try to find time to read the announcement.
I have 5 new items to release. However, they may not get posted until Sunday. My in-laws are coming this morning, and we will be spending the day as a family. If I can, I’ll post the new products this evening. Otherwise, watch for them on Sunday.
ON MY BENCH
I will have several more small items ready next Friday. The Friday after that should see the release of four Panzer I backdate sets for the new TAKOM kits.
ON KARL’S BENCH
There is nothing new from Karl about his masters. I’ll let you know when that changes.
The shop is in decent shape, but I still need to clean up from the sale.
The office is in better condition this week. I managed to clean it up a bit this past week. So, everything is in good shape there.
I am finally feeling like I am back to my pre-COVID self. If things go as they usually do, this probably means the world is about to end but, oh, well. What are we going to do? 🙂
THAT IS ALL
OK, that is all I have — for now. I will have more to share next week, as well as the first of the new masters. Until then, stay safe and try to build something (preferably something using TMD resin).
