Folks,
This was a big week for BB and I. We have moved back in to our house and, though we still have a lot of work ahead of us, the hard part is over. Now we just have to put things back together the way they were before the storm and get back to something resembling our normal life before hurricane Michael. This includes me getting back to working TMD again, as well. So, if you have a few minutes, I’d like to share all the details with you.
THE MOVE-IN
As I said, we have moved back in to our home. There are still some minor repairs left to complete. I had to chase off the crew that we hired to do our trim molding, so my brother, Jeff, and I will be finishing this over the next few weeks. I also have to get our chimney cap installed (currently waiting for it to come in the mail), and we have to put up some wire shelving. There are a few more smaller items, like electrical outlet covers and such, but this is where we are with our repairs. From where we were, we pretty much consider this ‘job completed.’
GETTING BACK TO NORMAL
Now that we are back in our house and our travel trailer has been taken away, and our storage unit is due to be taken away later today, BB and I are back to living much the way you do just after you move in to a new house. We have boxes everywhere that need to be unpacked and all our belongings put back where they belong. This will take time, but, until we get things finished, we can at least relax in our own chairs and sleep in our own bed again, and this means the world to the two of us right now. Now, it is time for me to get back to TMD, but first, a trip.
THIS COMING WEEK
Before I get back to TMD, I am taking BB on the trip we had to cancel last November. So, from Tuesday morning until Sunday evening, BB and I will be getting away from everything. My in-laws will be house sitting for us, so I am pretty sure we won’t even be worried about checking our phones or email except for regular check-in times. But, when we get back, I will be getting things going with TMD again. I have been away too long now, and I am looking forward to all the possibilities for the remainder of this year.
WHEN I RETURN TO TMD
OK, this is the part I am sure the majority of you are actually interested in most, but, unfortunately, it is the area where I have the least to tell. When I get back, I hope to have a planning session with Karl and Dave, and I’ll probably talk to you guys directly — as I have always done. But, as of right now, the only thing I know I want to do for sure is work on Panther-related subject material and British/Commonwealth armor. However, I also want to get the web store fixed (finally) and do something to remove the adds on our blog page here. Oh, and I will also start working on a plan to push our product line again. I have been resting on my laurels for far too long. It is time to start advertising again, I just have to figure out how to do it on a limited budget.
THAT IS ALL
Well, that’s all I have for now. Until next time, please stay safe and try to build something (preferably something using TMD resin).
Joe
Good luck finding everything in those boxes, Joe. Hope your travels with BB are relaxing and safe.
pushing the line again, try sending announcements to Armorama frequently as well as others who post new items. As I have been causing the WEB during my recovery period I have found many new websites for our hobby. Ill start making note of web addresses to let u know if you want to send announcements to them.
Thanks, Cliff 🙂
