2025.6.6 UPDATE: Involuntary TAD (TDY for You Non-Marine Types)

Friends,

I have been involuntarily assigned TAD (Temporary Additional Duty).  It is likely to extend through the summer, but I am still here, still struggling to finish what I have started.

As the oldest child in my family, the recent passing of my father has placed some unexpected responsibilities on me.  They should be short-term, but they are pressing.  I have not lost focus on the M-18 driver’s compartment, but I do have other issues I have to juggle.  To put it bluntly, this is a new product driven market and I have not been putting out new product, so…

This is why I have decided to try something that — hopefully — will let me keep all my plates spinning at the same time (help my mother adjust to life without my father, put out new product and finish the M-18 driver’s compartment).  The idea is simple.  For the next few weeks, I am going to focus on banging out a BUNCH of small $5-$10 detail items.  I will focus on the U.S. details that I need for the M18, but also for the Half-Tracks (they are still planned to follow the M18).  However, I will also throw in as many German and British details as possible.

The idea is simple: to earn your business with useful items offered at a reasonable price while, at the same time, making things that will help me put out larger detail and conversions sets as soon as my TAD is over.  I’ll just have to see how well I do, and how all of you respond to my effort to earn your business.

That said, I have some other thoughts, but I will post those in a JOE’s CORNER later today.  If you do not follow the TMD BLOG PAGE, you will not see that post, as it is mostly of a personal nature, and I try to keep the FB posts more business-focused.

Well, that is all — for now.  Until next time, stay safe and try to build something (preferably something using TMD resin).

Joe
