Friends,
You know that old saying about ‘Murphy’s Law?’ Well, in case any of you have been wondering where old Murphy’s been hiding these days, I found him. Click to read the details.
So, there I was, humming along smoothly, thinking about how to number the new masters so I could release them today (it was Monday). I went to the casting bench, opened a new thing of resi9n to start making sub-masters for the production molds and,… MURPHY! The resin was bad! But not to worry, I had another! ARGH! That one was bad, too. CURSE YOU, MURPHY!
So, long story short, I had ‘issues’ in the shop this week, and it derailed the new releases. I ‘think’ I have things worked out, and new resin is on the way (different lot numbers). We’ll just have to see. Until then, I keep plugging away.
M18 DRIVER’S COMPARTMENT
I am still making progress, but have been slowed by not being able to make sub-masters (the resin issue mentioned above). I hope to have enough finished by next week to post some progress pictures, then a release date 1-2 weeks later. Either way, I am going to make every effort to get it out this month.
KARL, WITH A SURPRISE
I received an email from Karl this week. He sent pictures of a new project he’s working on. I thought Karl had decided to retire, so I was very surprised. It is looking good, and I am sure it will be very well received when it is finished. But Karl is busy, so no promises as to when that will be. All I will say is: Think U.S. open-top AFVs. 😉
THAT IS ALL
I have more to share, but I’ll hold it for a JOE’S CORNER. So, until my next update, stay safe and try to build something (preferably using TMD resin).
Joe
