If the first 3 weeks of January are an indication of what is to follow, I’d like to return 2024 now, please.
INTERNET ISSUES REPLACED BY WEATHER DELAYS
AT&T finally repaired our internet connection late Wednesday afternoon. I managed to ship orders on Wednesday and Thursday, but none on Friday. I also managed to pour a new mold Thursday. But the weather here is too cold to pour much of anything until Monday. For those who live up north, this may seem strange. I have heaters in the shop. However, down here in Florida, we use heat exchangers, and when the outside temperature goes below a certain point, those exchangers do not work well. Consequently, the shop is too cold. I even had to bring the rubber and resin into the house where we have a heater with an ’emergency heat’ setting.
NEW PRODUCTS
I still have the new master from Karl. It will correct the final drive armor (FDA) on the Gecko Ram kits. Karl also tells me he is working on several other smaller items, but they are not yet complete.
ON THE BENCH
I have not yet begun to master, but I have quite a lot of Sherman stuff on the master bench.
OPEN ORDERS
I have 1 old order and several sale orders from before Dec 24th left. I also have about a half dozen orders that were placed since then. The goal is to ship all open orders by the end of this coming week.
UP-COMING CAMPAIGN(s)
I am working on this. I will be posting a JOE’S CORNER to explain my plans for 2024 tomorrow, Sunday, Jan 21, 2024. Watch for it.
