Folks,
I actually had a good week. I hope you can say the same. As for me, I managed to keep up with orders while finally making headway on my new masters. Come on, I’ll share the details.
OUTSTANDING ORDERS
As I write this, I do have a couple outstanding orders left in the shop, but they need new molds before I will be happy with the quality of the castings I am selling. The customers in question have been notified.
NEW RELEASES
I intentionally held the new items I could have released today. I will be releasing them next week. I did this so that you guys who want the new items don’t have to wait to make one order to save shipping. If the new stuff was not so related, I’d have released it. But the majority of the new items I will put out next week all work together. So, to me, this seemed like the best decision for all of us.
ON THE BENCH
I managed to get the spare MG case; cooking pot; mounted and empty canteen mounts; mounted and empty gas mask mounts; mounted and empty breathing tube mounts; mounted and clean bread bags; MG tool box; mounted and clean map cases and more finished. All of these go to German armored cars and closed top half-tracks. By next week, I also hope to have new seats and the canvas cover to the engine screen for the German armored cars, as well. So, as you can see, I will have quite a lot of the stuff I’ve been working on ready for release.
KARL VAN SWEDEN
I spoke to Karl just before I posted this UPDATE. Good news! Karl said he had a great week. The M7 Priest parts are finished. The MiniArt M3 Lee/Grant parts are finished. He is in the test-fitting phase for the M10 driver’s compartment. He is also putting the finishing touches on a small hatch composite upper hull. And he mentioned some other smaller items I’ll save to surprise you. If all goes well, he plans to mail everything to me on Monday, April 20.
THE SHOP
Let’s not talk about this disaster right now, OK? It needs some serious cleaning up. I have molds everywhere (not to mention the last of the 1/48 aircraft stuff I still need to sell off).
THE OFFICE
I cleaned the shop this week, and I managed to tackle a few smaller monsters lurking behind the scenes. Otherwise, the office has been holding its own.
THAT IS ALL
OK, that’s all I have for now. So, until next time, please stay safe and take care of your loved ones. If you can, try to build something (preferably something using TMD resin).
Joe
Looking forward to these new sets, Joe. Glad you had a good week.
