Friends,
I’ve may not have had time to work on my personal build this week, but that’s because I concentrated on shipping orders and getting new stuff ready for release. I succeeded. Keep reading and I’ll give you all the details.
NEW PRODUCTS
I will be releasing Karl’s correction for the GECKO Ram kits on Feb 23. I have the molds poured, and they came out very well. But I am trying to learn from past mistakes. I want to throw a demo build together before I release this item, so you can see exactly what you get and why you might want it.
I also finished the molds for the T-6 Sherman Prototype Conversion. They came out nicely, as well. I will be releasing this as a pre-sale today, Feb 16, so interested parties should watch for that announcement as I will only be making 20-25 of them. When these molds wear out, you will have to wait until I decide to pour new ones again.
ON THE BENCH
I have firmed-up on my decision to stay to focused on the North African/Mediterranean front this year. It’s my favorite theater of WW II, and I’m going to let myself dwell there as long as I stay interested. So, look for anything and everything related to the NA/MTO.
This is still going to mean early war British Shermans, and my first build blog post will go up sometime this weekend. However, it leaves the door open for just about everything except the Jagdtiger and — I think — Jagdpanther???
OPEN ORDERS
I have 1 open order. That one needs new molds. I emailed this customer and his order should ship next week.
CUSTOMER SERVICE ISSUES
I have 2 customer service issues left to handle. One is in Italy, another is in Virginia (if memory serves). I have neglected and abused these two guys long enough. I have set a personal goal of trying to have them handled by March 1 (but we all know how my ‘goals’ go, so…).
UP-COMING CAMPAIGN(s)
I posted that JOE’S CORNER piece explaining my ‘campaign plans’ for 2024. You can read about my “RETURN TO YOUR LOVE OF BUILDING” campaign there. Just follow the link.
THAT IS ALL
OK, that is all I have for now. Until next week, stay safe and try to build something (preferably something using TMD resin).
Joe, out
