Friends,
The time has come. This is my last ever update. My last order has shipped, and I am waiting for the last customer service issue parts to cure. They will ship tomorrow. So, when I turn out the lights and close the door to the shop later this afternoon, that will be it: TMD will officially be in the rear view mirror of our lives.
I want to thank each and every one of you. It has been an honor and a privilege to have known and served all of you these past 21 years. I assure you, you will be missed. But I know I’ve already been gone long enough that, by now, I’m just a memory to most of you. That’s OK. That’s how it should be. I DEROSed, we threw a going away party and — now — I’m gone back to the big PX and the rest of you have returned to the field. Oh, sure, some of you will stop from time to time and bring up my name, or that of TMD, and you will reminisce, but — for the most part — I will be just like all the others we have known: we loved each other while we were together, but, once we parted ways, the memories slowly start to fade away.
So, rather than say any more, I’ll just leave you with this one last thought. For me, it says it all (at least, it does if you were a fan of the show):
NOTE: The web site, email, Facebook and blog page will stay up until the last day of June. You have until then to get any and all customer service requests handled. After that, these sites will go dead.
ALSO: I will be liquidating everything in the next few months. I have some 1,400 kits, 350+ figure sets, a ton of aftermarket and my entire library to sell off. Watch the blog page and Facebook page for direct sales listings of my books, kits, tools, etc. If the one interested party does not come through, I will also be posting the company for sale on June 1. What does not sell by the end of June will go up on EvilBay in July. If the company has not sold by the time the last kit or book sells, it will just get boxed up and put into storage.
So, now you know everything you need to know. Thanks again, and take care of yourselves,
Joe
Thank you. Take care and God bless.
Joe –
Thanks for all you did for this hobby and to help the modeler create better models. I know the last few months must’ve been a total pain, but you’re through it now and ready for the next chapter. Whatever that chapter brings, best of luck with it and where it takes you. My stash of TMD stuff seems much smaller now; I’ll be very selective where I use the items to make sure not to waste them! I’ll keep my eyes open for your stash draw-down
So, again, thanks for your efforts in expanding the hobby. You’ll be missed.
Thank you Joe, best of luck for whatever life has in store for you.
