Friends,
This UPDATE will be rather short and to the point, but it contains little concerning new model products. If you’re interested, hit the READ MORE button and I’ll fill you in on what is going on here at TMD. Otherwise, you’re welcome to pass on reading this UPDATE.
THE WEEK IN REVIEW
The events of this week have made me realize that I need to put TMD in ‘cruise mode’ for a few weeks. Since I promised certain customers I would stick to modeling and not write too much about personal matters in my UPDATES, I won’t explain the reasons for my decision here. If you are interested in what is happening behind the scenes, you will have to look for the JOE’S CORNER post on the TMD blog page. Otherwise, all you need to know is that, for the rest of the month, I have tabled everything except the filling of orders and handling of customer services.
OUTSTANDING ORDERS
As I write this, Friday, Aug 12, I have 1 open order. It came in late yesterday and will ship early next week.
CUSTOMER SERVICE ISSUES
I have no known customer service issues at this time. So, if you are still waiting on me for something, please email me and remind me because you have fallen off a very crowded radar screen (sorry).
NEW RELEASES
There are no new releases this week. In fact, there will be nothing new until September — at the earliest.
ON THE BENCH
I cleared my bench. There are no new masters in the works at this time.
ON KARL’S BENCH
I cannot and will not go into this — for obvious reasons — but we need to stop waiting on Karl. I do not think we will ever see another master from Karl’s bench. Time has taken that side of our friend from us and, now, it is time for all of us who have valued his work to wish him well in whatever time he has left where he can still model for himself. Karl does not have any serious health problems, it is just that the cumulative effects of life have finally made it too difficult for him to master. He can still build, but the two are not the same thing. So, I sincerely and humbly request that people just accept that Karl’s mastering days are behind him. Here’s praying that he at least has a few more years of being able to enjoy the hobby for himself again before that, too, is taken away by the effects of time.
THE SHOP
The shop is in good shape.
THE OFFICE
The office is also in good shape.
ME AND MY WORLD
BB and I are well. No health or family concerns, just personal decisions being made. If you count yourself friend and are interested in more details, look for my JOE’S CORNER post later today.
THAT IS ALL
That said, this is all I have for everyone this week. Until next time, you stay safe and try to build something (preferably something using TMD resin).
