2021.2.5 UPDATE: Still Cleaning House

Hello,

I spent the week shipping orders and cleaning house in preparation for my return to the master bench. Hit the ‘read more’ button and I’ll share the details with you.

OPEN ORDERS

First, as of the time I write this, I have 2 open orders. One is rather large and the other needs a new mold made before I can fill it. Both came in over the last 48 hours. Both should ship Monday.

CUSTOMER CARE ISSUES

I still have 2 customer service issues I need to resolve, and both are connected to possible problems with original masters. I’m working to resolve them.

NEW PRODUCTS

OK, it has been some time since I released anything new. I have things to release, I just haven’t bothered doing the work to post them. Well, it’s time to stop being lazy and get things posted. So, I will start the work of posting the new and re-worked products next week. This way, I will have them ready to post at the end of the month. If I can find the self-discipline, this should be a huge release date.

KARL VAN SWEDEN

Karl is doing better than I’ve heard him in years. He says he is building, and it will (eventually) lead to new masters. At the moment, he is working in the Vietnam era. We’ll just have to wait to see what he sends me and when. I refuse to rush him.

THE SHOP

The shop is nearing the end of a major re-working. I still have some work to do. I need to make mold boxes to store a lot of the newer items, as well as their sub-masters for making new molds. I also need to set up my files so I can start including more printed instruction sheets in my product line. But the biggest thing I have to do in the shop right now is to store or toss out a lot of stuff I’ve collected over the years. This includes some 700 aviation books and a small lot of 1/48 aircraft related plastic/detail sets. Since I am no longer selling on EBay, I will have to use the DG’s, FB and this blog page to sell this off, but I will start with that today. This stuff MUST GO!

THE OFFICE

I cleaned the shop this week. It is in excellent condition now. I will start on adding the product numbers to the listing page on the new web store now. Also, I am going to try to knock out the taxes next week, so I can get that behind me, as well. I’ll keep you posted on my progress on this front.
