2020.10.2 UPDATE: The Switchover Has Begun

Folks,

It’s happening! The migration to the new site has started. Come on, I’ll give you the details.

THE NEW WEB STORE

OK, this will be a slightly different update. The only thing we are going to discuss is the new web store.

THE MIGRATION HAS STARTED

As I said, the migration to the new web store has started. It may take a day or so before you will see it on your end. Just don’t panic, it WILL be there by the end of the weekend.

As for the new site: it is not going to be that pretty. It took all of last week and this week just to upload the product line. I won’t bore you with the details. I’ll just say that everything had to be pulled off the old site, then uploaded to the new — manually — one item at a time!

THE NEW LOOK

Once I have the new store up, and I know everything is working correctly, I will start studying the tutorial videos. This program is nothing like WordPress, so I have to learn it. Once I do, I’ll start tweaking things until it looks and works the way I want it to look and work.

YOU CAN HELP ME

This is where you can help. If you need anything, try to place your orders. See if you can at least do that much.

Even if you don’t need anything, have a look around. I NEED FEEDBACK! I have no special requests. Just post your thoughts or suggestions here on the Blog, on our FaceBook page, or email them to me directly. The only way I will know what needs to be improved and how to make said improvements is by listening to you guys. Well, if you don’t tell me what needs doing, I can’t do that. So, help me out and post that feedback.

NEXT WEEK

OK, this is where we’re at right now. Please, be patient. The goal is to fix the look and function gripes by this time next week. After that, we’ll have a long, serious talk about the future.

THAT IS ALL

That is all I have for now. Thanks for being patient with me. Until next week, stay safe and try to build something (preferably something using TMD resin)

Joe

  1. looking good mate, always enjoy your updates, only comment I have is maybe more products per page, I notice you have jerry cans have you considered fuel drums, I think the market could do with some quality drums esp. the side hoops Cheers Graham
