Hi Folks,
I hope you had a great holiday season and a safe, Happy New Year. Now, it is time to get back to work — and I’m already doing that. Come on and I’ll fill you in on all the news that is news.
OVER THE HOLIDAY
So, as is the norm around here, nothing went the way I had planned over the holiday break. I did not get any of the administrative and maintenance work done that I had planned to do. But I’m not crying over it. I’ll just get to it when I can.
ORDERS
By the end of today, the only orders I should have in house are those who took advantage of the major kit limited re-release sale. I am still making molds for these kits, but everything is on track to have all of them shipped out by the last day of January. If you ordered one of these kits/conversions, please, don’t worry. Just be a little patient and you will get a very cleanly cast product. I just need to work them in to the daily operations and that takes a bit of time — especially with one-man operations like TMD’s shop.
ON THE BENCH
I am about to pull my hair out over this one. I’m experiencing a bit of a builder’s block. I am sure you will understand that feeling, but it is not a luxury I have — not if I want to get TMD moving forward again. So, at the moment, the plan is to set aside any and all major or themed projects and just focus on a bunch of those little details that everyone seems to love so much. You know: those $5 detail goodies that you add on to your order and then find you need on every kit you will ever build again. Yeah, those! I’m going to work on stuff like that until I get my mo-jo back.
KARL van SWEDEN
I cannot put any time line on it, but I know Karl is still working on the M10 driver’s compartment. He is also supposed to send me the bulk of the M5/M5A1 interior we never finished — just for the heck of it. Stay tuned and I’ll keep you informed.
IN THE SHOP
As always, it needs a good cleaning.
IN THE OFFICE
As always, the paper work is piling up and taxes are starting to press on my mind.
THAT IS ALL
OK, that’s all I have on the business front. Until next time, please stay safe and try to build something (preferably something using TMD resin).
Joe
